Yogi Intermediates Pvt. Ltd., Bharuch, Mr. Tushar Vaghasiya, tells about the effectiveness of Diphoterine on Bromine Splash

To whomsoever it may concern

We at Yogi Intermediates Pvt. Ltd., Panoli handle Bromine, Caustic Lye and mix Solvents in our manufacturing process. We had purchase Diphoterine first-aid solution (for eye and skin burns) from HSE Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (subsidiary of PREVOR, France) regularly. We have kept the solutions in various risk locations in the plant area and employees are trained in using the same in case of chemical burns emergency.

Case of Bromine Splash: While checking bottle of Bromine, due to pressure in bottle of Bromine, it splashed on the operator who was taking the sample. Splashed Bromine came directly on his face and chest area. Diphoterine first aid solution was used immediately by our officer and affected area was washed thoroughly with the solutions. Later up he was send to hospital. On checking his affected area doctor commented that his face and body was saved. His face and body area were becoming normal after a day rest.

Caustic Lye Splash: While charging Caustic Lye in drum on employee get splash of Caustic Lye in his eyes. He immediately used LIS eyewash. Later he was taken to hospital. On checking his eyes, Ophthalmologist,  commented that his eyes were saved by used of Diphoterine. His eyes becoming normal after a day rest and he was on work from next day.

We feel that Diphoterine has proved to be a good first-aid measure in many instance and we strongly recommend its use. We are also happy that the supply is very prompt and representatives from HSE Solutions Pvt. Ltd. conduct regular awareness training for the employees.
